Through Perseverance you will succeed

This morning whilst cleaning a necklace I pulled it too hard and broke it – I might add here, that I had just finished making it all shiny and new! On closer inspection I realized it hadn’t actually broken but, that one of the small ring that connected it to the clasp had opened up.

All is not lost

With this happy thought, that I hadn’t actually broken my necklace, I went straight to my makeup bag and secured the tweezers and with said tweezers in hand, I went to work. It was fiddly and a lot harder than I thought to keep everything aligned, the tiny open ring kept slipping out of my fingers and falling on the floor.

Taking a deep breath I would start over again, and was about to give up when into my head came the title of this blog, ‘Through perseverance you will succeed’. Sooooooo I sat down rather than crouch, made myself comfortable and kept thinking you can do this, it’s not difficult, you just need to be patient.

The Ahha Moment

Patience, that was the key, be patient with myself and know that I was able to do this small task if I just became present and stopped ‘trying too’. Whenever we are in trying too mode’ we will find any task frustrating and exasperating and so by stopping this attitude I fixed the necklace!

I just needed to patient with myself and that is in all aspects of life, not just fixing a necklace. I am now wearing my necklace with a sense of pride with my ability to persevere and not give up.

Lead On

The moral of the story is to be patient and present with yourself allowing this to guide all aspects of your life. Keep going in the direction you wish. Any obstacles you may perceive as obstacles, see them instead as stepping stones from where you were, to where you are, to where you want to be.

Enjoy the journey as this is the part of life that makes us grow stronger and successful in whatever strive to do.

Have an awesome day and remember to be all you can be.
